On September 28th, 2024, Viswam Superspeciality Hospitals had the distinct honor of being the official medical partner for the 20th edition of the Special Olympics, organized by the JCI Vizag Group. This monumental event took place at the Police Barracks Grounds in Visakhapatnam, bringing together more than 500 specially-abled children from 50 schools across the North Coastal region.
With the tagline “A Mega North Coastal Annual Sports Meet for Special Children,” the event aimed to foster inclusivity and provide a platform for children with special needs, including those who are hearing-impaired, visually-impaired, mentally-challenged, and physically-challenged. Over 100 sports events were held throughout the day, where these extraordinary young athletes demonstrated incredible determination, skill, and passion for sports.
